Fabiola Sillas

As an art teacher I will embrace concepts like diversity and culture in my art class in different ways. I will establish influential instructional practices and create a safe, inviting and well managed classroom for all students. I want to introduce the beauty of art to people who don't understand it yet. I’d love to be a part of the future artists of the world, as they discover their art abilities. Being a part of a students' life in my classroom, as we acknowledge our identity using art elements and principles, gives me hope to be a great mentor for these kids. This encourages me to get the best education so I can give the best. 

Because I have faced many challenges in my life, trying to understand people has always felt right. I have always wanted to make people feel heard and give them hope. This is why I want to be an educator. I feel that the ability to empathize with others has always been one of my strengths and overcoming my adversities has allowed me to relate to a variety of people.
